Situated in Noida, basically at Delhi-Noida border. Popularly known as a haven for around 300 bird species, especially water birds. It was designated as a sanctuary in the year 1990.

2 critically endangered species  i.e. white-rumped vulture & Indian vulture
9 vulnerable species – Baikal teal, Baer’s pochard, Sarus crane, Sociable lapwing, Indian skimmer, Pallas’s fish eagle, Lesser adjutant, Bristled grassbird and Finn’s weaver

The safari times at Sariska National Park may change slightly depending on the weather at different times of the year. Only previously approved vehicles can enter the National Park Sariska. Inside the Sariska wildlife reserve, all vehicles have to follow a fixed route and must leave the park in the evening by 6:30 p.m.

Wildlife to See :The National Chambal Sanctuary is home to the Gharial, the rare and highly endangered Gangetic Dolphin, Marsh Crocodiles (Muggers), eight species of Turtles, Smooth Coated Otters, Indian Striped Hyenas, Jungle Cats, Golden Jackals, Indian Wolves and foxes

Best time to Visit : 1st November to 31th March

– Jeep Safari : A thrilling jeep safari at National Chambal Sanctuary, as the Jeeps drive through sections which a normal motor vehicle can not drive through. The Administration of forest rest houses would arrange for Jeep safaris, which would take the visitors through Chambal ravines.

– Camel Safari : Camel Safari is also available as an option for small safaris by the administration

– Boat Safari : The only real way to enjoy the attractions of the river is by motorized boat. Arrangements to hire boats can be made. Going up and down the river as it flows through the ravines is a great experience.

– Timings and Fees

This Wildlife Santuary, like many others, allow people to visit during day time only, however, for the boat ride from Palighat to Rameshwar Ghat, which is part of the visit to this Wild life Sanctuary, people are allowed to take up the ride only upto 2 pm as the travel time normally takes 3 hours.
